Scientists: Work at Night Kills Brain Cells
To this conclusion a group of scientists came, conducted a large-scale study on laboratory mice.
Scientists divided the rodents into three groups. The first group of mice led a normal life with a full sleep. The second group of scientists allowed to sleep only short intervals, and the third did not sleep at night.
The experiment showed that the second group of mice in the brain produced more protein, which controlled the vigor. But soon a short sleep became a habit, and the brain stopped the process of creating a nutrient and began to deteriorate.
In the third group, the results were even worse. In rodents who did not sleep at night, the brain cells died and they could not be restored even with the help of prolonged sleep. Only the first group showed healthy results.
Therefore, scientists came to the conclusion that the human body is able to adapt to different conditions, but only for a while.
By the way, American scientists advise to sleep more on their side, because it is in this position that the brain cleanses effectively of toxins, which reduces the risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and other neurological diseases.
